"Luana Lopes Lara, da Kalshi, é a bilionária mais jovem do Brasil a construir a própria fortuna". A mulher criou um grande site de apostas e ganhou dinheiro de gente desesperada. Não é muito diferente de quem aplica golpe em idoso ou rouba trabalhador. Traficante também constrói fortuna.

if you're a normal person please do not play the fucking strip mahjong game. do not let the fun and friendly appeal of something as inoffensive as pornography trick you into playing a game as evil as mahjong

"Milo got arrested!" "That's good!" "By an unaccountable secret police force" "That's bad" "He supported them, though, so there's delicious irony at play." "That's good!" "But they came for him because fascist power has reached a point where petty infighting can lead to arrests" "That's bad"

a couple muslims are within sniffing distance of real political power and a huge chunk of the democratic electorate is having a racist pissbaby meltdown about it and insisting everyone has to participate in their delusions or we're hitler. shameful. i really feel for my muslim friends & neighbors

passively tolerated rapists are a lot more common in the democratic party than passively tolerated antisemites, which you can tell because piker's never done anything remotely equivalent to swalwell's assaults, which were an open secret for years. but sure, this is about real issues and not racism

If Hasan piker was a pedophile or rapist no one would say it’s out of norms to ask aes and others why they campaigned with him. But antisemitism isn’t viewed as bad

It is simply not realistic to insist that your political opponents in a fight over a seventy-year old apartheid/occupation also constantly validate the innocence of your own position, and the "Liberal Zionist" insistence on this is just pathetic. At some point you have to accept your own beliefs.

It is not a "grim choice" to support either a psychotic Republican or a mainstream center-left politician.

he Michigan Senate election has presented liberals with a grim choice. The Republican candidate, Mike Rogers, has pledged support for a corrupt, racist, authoritarian-minded administration. Rogers hasn’t made even the tiniest concession to Donald Trump critics. But supporting El-Sayed means accepting a strain of anti-Semitic politics that to date has had no place within the Democratic Party.

What’s more, El-Sayed has already said that he intends to use his victory as a platform to reshape the party. Him winning could invite a future in which the United States has not just one party that is open to bigots but two.

Yeah, many people intuit that admitting a problem exists adds to the political capital carried into solving that problem. But history shows that’s not really true; if anything, rhetorical capitulation *spends* capital, and it only *adds* insofar as it further motivates political constituencies.

Hate to be contrarian and cynical but the evidence that the next Democratic-led US government will do anything differently on Palestine than the previous one is thus far pretty thin sorry

I put "Israel proper" in quotes because Israeli law itself does not denote its own eastern border and Israel falsely claims sovereignty over the territory of at least two countries.

In other words, Smotrich seeks to further erode the Palestinian citizenry of Israel on a demographic and political level by "prioritizing Jewish development", leveraging the laws which already exist to discriminate against non-Jewish citizens in housing, land use, and movement.

Smotrich’s plan calls for the cancellation of “the reckless plans approved in recent years in Arab localities, which have taken over vast land reserves and threaten the potential for Jewish development and settlement in the region”

For all the talk that a cohort of people on here like to push about equal rights under the law within "Israel Proper", here is the Finance Minister of Israel explicitly saying that his goal is to do demographic changes in the Negev and Galilee and to reduce the Arab population. Both within 48.

Smotrich calls to ‘Judaize’ Negev, Galilee as part of his settlement ‘revolution’

Far-right minister's pre-election plan would establish dozens of towns for one million new Jewish residents while curbing Arab building
