Guess I’ll be part of the Kaohly Her whisper campaign but a St. Paul knower confides maybe the police aren’t making shit up, they’re just the only department with the political cover to go public. Ask your St. Paul government friends if Her’s treatment of colleagues and underlings goes beyond SPPD.

It’s a bit personal but from “fight for someone you do not know” to this is actually the reason I became a progressive in the first place and I am so, so happy that the electoral left is promoting explicit philosophical universalism as a moral tenet

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

Fascinating interview with Robert Kagan, where he says that the biggest mistake of the Iraq war was that it permanently crippled the American public's conceptualization of their country's role in the world, and then admits that America is exceedingly Islamophobic and this informs foreign policy.

Robert Kagan: Sometimes US intervention is worth blowback

In a wide-ranging interview with RS, the hawkish historian talks primacy, neoconservatives, and why he opposes the war in Iran

yeah i'm not going to go look for stevens voters to cyberbully but can we take a second to think about how fucking insane it is to be calling a man "complainer class" who blames jewish americans for all his problems and then a few days later endorsing that same man. is he an antisemite or nah???

she did in fact do that, as a Christian woman, and it should haunt the rest of her uneventful political career bsky.app/profile/dana...

Abdul El-Sayed has won, NBC News says. And there are other wins for the left in Michigan: —William Lawrence wins his U.S. House primary. —A DSA-backed candidate is leading a Democratic incumbent for state House. —Abbas Alawieh, co-founder of Uncommitted, leads for state Senate.

$60m is a lot of money. in related news i do think aipac particularly should be commended for shining a football field's worth of bright lights on campaign finance in a way the self-interested freaks of congress might pay attention to

I believed the polls but my thought as spending got insane was that if he managed to win at all it would be an incredible achievement and I haven't ever really stopped thinking that.
