For those who don’t follow sports and haven’t really had the opportunity to get to know Canada men’s national football team head coach Jesse Marsch, he is probably one of the few Americans who addressed the insulting “51st state” rhetoric head-on since day one. ❤️🍁🇨🇦TEAM CANADA FOREVER🇨🇦🍁❤️ 1/3 🧵

Deer in the morning in the mountains

Albertans have been subjected to some wild propaganda over the last 50 yrs It's so powerful that even when they are losing healthcare, our infrastructure is crumbling & we are being torn from Canada, some would rather believe the lie that Ottawa is to blame for everything than look at the UCP Wild

From @jaredwesley.ca "If anyone is wondering how Premier Smith's remarks and Bruce McAllister tirade are affecting UCP supporters, it's not a pretty sight in their social media circles. They have opened up a can of anti-Indigenous sentiment that is flowing freely on X and Facebook." 1/2

Remember: just like the referendum questions on immigration, the UCP's anti-Indigenous rhetoric is calculated to divide and distract through rage baiting. Don't bite. Call it out, but stay focused on what they don't want the public to notice. And check-in on your neighbours who are being targeted.

It is mind blowing that the Minister of Finance has no idea how much this fall's 10 referendums will cost, and that his best guess is "the same amount as a general election." Just as scary as the government having no prepared analysis for what separation would cost before calling a vote on it.

“It is outrageous to me that [Danielle Smith] would disregard the sentiments of the vast majority of Albertans, put us through a divisive campaign for which she has no mandate, subject us to the possibility of foreign interference and risk 1/2
