first meeting

Panel 1: (Robin is ignoring Virion's introduction.)

Robin: "loop between the forests... keep Sumia to the north... Ricken and Miriel can take out any... wait. We need someone covering the mages. Sully? No, she's covering the south with Stahl- maybe Frederick can- no, that leaves the northern flank wide open. Ugh, I'm overthinking this. Let's start over, I need a new sheet of-"

Panel 2: (Chrom snaps.)

Chrom: "ROBIN."

Robin: "I heard you the first time."

Panel 3: (A full body shot of Robin that I worked really realy hard on please clap. She is leaning back in her chair, unimpressed, still holding her quill as a messy desk sits behind her.)

Robin: "He's the new archer, right? Gods, Chrom, you don't have to shout..."

Chrom: "If you heard him, then say something! Also, clean up your desk!"

Robin: "I was going to. AFTER I finished what I was working on. Also, no."

Panels 4 & 5: (Robin fixes Virion with an intense glare. Virion recoils slightly, giving a confused, nervous smile.)

Panel 1: (Robin stands from her desk.)

Robin: "Anyways, I'm already well aware of him."

Panel 2: (Robin turns around, looking up at Virion.)

Panel 3: (A shot of Virion, looking down.)

Robin: "Took down four Risen, two with just one arrow. A steady arm, and a knack for hitting vital points. Probably at least slightly farsighted, given how he can hit distant targets with ease. Remarkable kinetic vision, too. It's no mean feat to land such clean hits on moving targets..."

Panel 4: (Robin leans back, still explaining.)

Robin: "All in all, a valuable addition to our forces."

Panel 5: (Virion looks pleased.)

Virion: "My, my! It seems the lady's memory is as flattering as it is accurate!"

Robin: "Good memory is part of my job. In any case, welcome to the Shepherds..."

Panel 6: (Virion's palette turns orange.)

Robin: "...Vermillion."

Panel 1: (multiple agitated speech bubbles, both Sully and Kellam (face hidden) looking up in confusion.)

Chrom: "ROBIN! His name is VIRION! Were you even listening?!"

Virion: "N-now now, sir! Surely she meant to say 'one in a Virillion!'"

Robin: "Ah, I'm running late for a meeting with Miriel."

Panel 2: (Robin walks past Virion.)

Robin: "Make sure you're stocked on arrows. I'll have your training regimen ready by tomorrow."

Virion: "Y-yes, certainly... good day to you, my lady."

Panel 3: (Robin walks away, back to the viewer.)

Virion: "...Hm. Is she always so...?"

Panel 4: (Chrom, scowling, stands next to a nervously smiling Virion.)

Chrom: "Antisocial?"

Virion: "erm-"

Chrom: "Stubborn?"

Virion: "well-"

Chrom: "A workaholic that only opens her mouth when it's to give orders or dish out sass?"

Virion: "...I was going to say 'charmingly brusque.' But yes."

Fuck it, I'll throw my take on trans Parker into the ring. I love the Romita Sr. hair with the bang fangs and I love whenever other artists draw Peter with them, so of course I included them here. I'll make some higher quality drawings of her at some point, but I just really love this trend.
