Hey all. I've been MIA lately. I'm off of socials for a bit while recovering from some health related stuff. I'll probably be more active again in a few weeks. 🖤✨

Oopsie. The perils of drawing by a pond. Shout out to the lily pad that caught my pen cap! 🪷✨ #drawing

The Starlit Road e-book is free until June 2! The promo is doing really well and has reached #1 in all of its sub-genres! Any and all support and reviews mean the world to me. Thank you all so very much!🖤✨ a.co/d/0bWllOEI (The primary genre should be Fantasy. Fixing that.) #BookSky #BookGiveaway

I was lucky to experience this moment. When the spring night drew me out to look at the stars… and magic felt like more than a notion. #nightphotography #sakura #garden

A first look at the completed map for my upcoming YA original-world fantasy #novel, THE STARLIT ROAD. 100% of this map was drawn and hand-written by me. No AI. The bottom right shows a bit of the language I created for the series. 🖤✨ #fantasymap #artsky #booksky #writingcommunity

Been off in the background lately. Doing background stuff. Life piles up sometimes. But I'm setting up a great little art space pretty soon... and I'll be letting my sketches and scribbles and ravings fly again soon enough. 🖤✨

I love the spring time. Goodbye seasonal depression! #flowers

Happy dog! The weather is warm enough for longer walks.

Good to see you. #poem #poetry

War should be illegal. Fascism should be illegal. Billionaire greed should be illegal.

I've been absent lately. Sorting out some things in life, but I'll be back with more art and writing soon enough! 🖤✨

This is who runs this account.

"how do you create and come up with your characters?" I world-build, chasing a plot vibe, until my characters step out of their circumstances to introduce themselves. Being surprised by the actions of my characters is one of my favorite things about writing.

Faith K. Falkner@faithfalkner.com · 8mo ago

I direct my own moral outrage into one character, then decide she needs an irreverent girlfriend and a bardic big brother to temper her shenanigans. Every character is a piece of myself that I want to express.

I make art. I don't talk politics on social media. I support causes in person. It is NOT political to demand that our government stops invading, abducting and executing people. It is NOT political to demand dignity, compassion and fair due process for ALL people. #Resist

This past weekend I read 2 books. First was The Starlit Road by A. R. Ivanovich a wonderful new YA fantasy. The second was Frost Maiden: The Origin of the Snow Queen by J.P. Reedman a short novella that was an easy enjoyable read. I would recommend both to my fellow fantasy lovers. #booksky

We live to make art. We make art to live. Even in harsh conditions we bloom with expression. Every one of us, across all forms of art and craftsmanship, beginner to pro, is a part of that. We are not oversaturating any market. We are doing what humanity does naturally.

Cover reveal! The Dogmen Fudge Incident Fudge shop owner Winston and his employee Lydia battle the dogmen invading his town with the one thing he knows will take the cryptids out: chocolate! Because, as everyone knows, chocolate kills dogmen! Paperback and ebook out Feb 10th! Preorders coming soon!

I love being able to hold it in my hand! The culmination of so much love and hard work. 🖤✨ a.co/d/2XuEm0C #NewReleases #YA #DarkFantasy #WritingCommunity #BookSky

Imagine if we all just wanted nice things for each other... What a life that would be.

Now that The Starlit Road has been released and all the work is done, I'm supposed to take some time to relax... and I don't know how. 😅 #writingcommunity #indie

I wrote this last night. It's hard to feel okay. #Poem #Poetry #WritingCommunity

It's official! My YA original-world dark sci-fantasy #TheStarlitRoad is available! This book has been in the works for 10 years. I invented a world, a language, drew the map, painted the cover. So much love has gone into this novel. #booksky #writingcommunity #fantasy www.amazon.com/dp/B0GFMQRPTK

Here it is! The full cover art for #TheStarlitRoad. I worked hard on this all through the holidays with only a few breaks to speak of. Only drove myself somewhat batty. Drew it all in #procreate. No AI. It's almost release time! ✨🖤✨ #BookSky #WritingCommunity #Art #YA #Fantasy #IndieAuthor

Creating my book cover for #TheStarlitRoad. From idea... to mockup... to design. I first sketched the idea 2-3 years ago. Made a mockup last year. Spent two weeks straight through the holidays, painting it all out in #Procreate. More to come soon...✨🖤 #Booksky #BookCoverDesign #WIP #IndieAuthor

Happy #Caturday from Ember! ✨ #cats #pets

I've been working so hard getting ready to release my new YA original-world fantasy novel, The Starlit Road. I even painted the cover with #procreate. Just as I was uploading it... I noticed a mistake. A very thin little line right where it shouldn't be. The work is never over! 😭😅 #booksky #artsky

I'm back to my #latenight posts again. THE STARLIT ROAD is nearly ready for release. The final formatting is officially done. Everything is waiting on the cover. I'm digitally painting it in Procreate. I'm an artist, but not a fast one. Can't wait to get this done. 🖤✨ #writingcommunity #booksky
