Gendered violence and misogyny are connected but distinct categories. Gendered violence includes policing of (police brutality against) Black & POC boys/men in the global north. Remember, ‘gender’ as it has been imposed by eurocolonialism divides our worlds into ‘men’ & ‘women’.

It's disturbing that a Handbook of Indian History enacts full erasure of Muslim India & the Mughal empire that preceded the British empire. And, casteism is NOT a legacy of eurocolonialism. Caste/ism predates it. The progress of hindu nationalist revisionism is deeply concerning.

A huge number of us are or will be carers at some point in our lives and the lack of either respect or support by so many politicians, including the leader of the country, for the enormous work done and the emotional and physical toll it takes is infuriating. Completely out of touch.
