These and many other lessons were taught by the incredible Luis. Even when I had low days he made it feel like I had the potential to do everything. The grief that I have been feeling has no proper words. Beloved by the animation community his kindness reached us all. Gracias por todo Luis 🕊️

I don't know what's harder; the shock of knowing someone is gone, or seeing the ripple of how much that deeply affects those who loved and cared for them back, especially when there was still so much beauty and love left in them to bring into the world, expecting they'd always be there to do it.
Rest in peace, Luis. I only knew you in passing around Vancouver and online, but your work was so inspiring, and you were always so positive. A legendary animator, gone too soon.
