I just came back from a workshop with Nancy Cartwright at Bielefeld‘s #ISOS institute. It was about reforming the #SystematicReview method to incorporate more diverse knowledge. Very refreshing to (re)join the current debate, even thought am not fully convinced...

Oh wow this is so astonishingly incomplete! Why does it not mention history/philosophy/sociology of science, STS etc. - relevant fields without normative agenda. What about reflexive metrics and critical evaluation studies which are so fundamental for current assessment reform debate?

I don't know about all the nuances of the word "Annals" in English. But "Annalen" is a very big word in colloquial German which makes it quite entertaining when #predatoryJournals choose names like "Annals of Case Reports".

Sometimes I have the impression I am the only one in #bibliometrics who cares about "measurement error", especially when apply traditional statistics. But I get that the assumption is often: big data averages out any bias. It tells much about the epistemology of #DataScience and #BigData
