how it feels to be an ff7 remake defender when both halves of its narrative and gameplay have resulted in every single jrpg and action game i like copying it in the worst ways possible

kind of funny to see "people need to stop overanalyzing deltarune when it's literally just referencing other things" enter my feed frequently now. we've come full circle from 2014 and people are now going "it's just an earthbound clone dog" and shutting down the idea of treating it as original art
