this isn't very popular to say, but for me personally, it was good that i had unrestricted internet access when i was a minor. i was aware of what i was doing and enjoyed it. i don't look back on it and go "well that was a mistake", i look back on it and wish i could do it for the first time again
and they'll sell 10 bajillion copies of it.
every single nintendo direct is written like its advertising the first video game ever made. in this “game of strategy” you can choose to attack with swords [8 second clip of a guy attacking with a sword] or with spells [8 second clip of a guy attacking with a spell]
RE: "Has anything gotten better" Discourse Basically everything. Medicine, human rights, air quality, living standards even in poorly developed areas. Technology and research standards and capabilities are beyond anything we could dream. Humans are crushing it on a global scale man
Think I publish Wyldheart with simple stock art and see what happens from there. It feels a bit like throwing a bucket of water into the ocean, tbh. There are tens of thousands of indie TTRPGs out there and it feels more and more like the only way to stand out is impressive visuals.
More #runescape, #worldofwarcraft, #finalfantasyxiv, and #ttrpg folks on bsky would be great
Thanks. Yes, that's what I was trying to say, but took too long to get there. Our politics community is strong, and I'd love for us to expand into new communities. Science and sports have already taken off. Birding, gardening, K-pop, we're open to all (except nazis and jerks).
btw if you're into simple #ttrpg games, I made a really neat little trifold system you can try for free aliceashcroft.itch.io/hyperquest-rpg
HyperQuest RPG by Alice Ashcroft
Fast-Paced & Tag-Based TTRPG where everything is a Threat. Oh, and you can fight a door, I guess.

Looking at what I'd need for a realistic art budget for my full TTRPGs (Wyldheart, Ruinhearth, Sanctum Arcanum) if I wanted a "real" release and boy howdy I sure do not have money like that lmao

a compass that points to the safest nearby person
i love bluesky because you can be arguing with someone named like “Big Titty Sleestak Girlfriend” and then you look up their domain name and it turns out they have 12 patents from intel
Fun data from the last two months is now in and I officially have Numbers for my swap to ALDI - Over $100/mo saved when compared to Walmart. If you're a broke bitch like me, take a look at your nearest ALDI or Trader Joe's cause their house brands are cheap and high quality
I started shopping at ALDI more and their selection of frozen veg is crazy. They have all of it.
i think i need to add python and c++ to my aml studies based on this stupid ass study guide, like wtf do you mean we use spreadsheets instead of numpy to facilitate txn monitoring
I think more fields should take themselves this seriously. I (will, again,) work in #aml and while only 2-3% of all laundered funds are seized, my work also deals heavily with detecting human trafficking and I like to think we save more lives than we're given credit for.
A ritual object worn as a reminder of obligations and ethics, huh Wonder what that’s like
You can just buy your veggies frozen. Dump some peas and spinach into your rice. Who's gonna know? Who's gonna care? Do it coward.
Appropriate air quotes because the most infuriating part about Americans debating "lockdown" is that it simply never happened. Having to pick up your Applebees and eat it on the sectional does not count. There wasn't even a brief moment where "everything" was closed. That's not real.
if you hated covid "lockdowns" try long covid
I’ll never quit social media. I know many cool people thanks to it, and I get something out of it. But when I devote more energy to real fun, self-improvement, time with people I care about IRL, I’m so much happier

You watch it like this. This is the goal I have when at da movies
If there’s a short answer, how do you teach someone how to watch a movie? It strikes me even with that sentence that our language is not up to the present task: “how to watch a film” has always meant interpretation, not “how to look in one consistent direction for about 100 minutes”
