Neither faction is dominant, securing a Senate and House majority will rest on voters from both backing candidates of each.

Totally the same for me as well - it was the best learning tool in my life, both academically and artistically, and the stuff I was exposed to has always been an inspiration
this isn't very popular to say, but for me personally, it was good that i had unrestricted internet access when i was a minor. i was aware of what i was doing and enjoyed it. i don't look back on it and go "well that was a mistake", i look back on it and wish i could do it for the first time again
Yeah, it cooked my brain a bit, but I'm happy about that because otherwise I might have stayed a right-wing Evangelical.

This for me as well. It’s an odd feeling because bad things certainly happened to me because of it. But so did good things. The unsupervised and unrestricted freedom of expression is directly responsible for both my career and my marriage.

i would not have as much curiosity and intellectual drive as i do now if i had been restricted to Webzones For Kids

second this that i managed to overcome almost all attempts to restrict my internet usage both gave me the ability to escape severe child abuse and also to essentially pre-train myself for my career (i was a nerd)

I truly believe it saved my life. It showed me there were others like me and there was a way for me to reach them, and I did.

Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.
it’s kind of weird that people ask how you can even fill up a max subscription because it feels like vaguely looking in fables direction will make you overshoot your weekly
Nothing more Bluesky than the CEO of the company being like “We still plan on fulfilling our founding mission“ and all the OG posters absolutely losing their minds
need to get this accoutn back to its former glory
i'm not going to expend effort to find out what happened, it's funnier that way
trying tumblr again and something i forgot i disliked was how the posts are so old. the site just happily shows you posts from 2025, eck
it seems bad that any effort to “make bluesky less of a liberal echo chamber” is seen as inviting nazis or even just right wingers to the platform when it probably more accurately means completely unrelated things like cultivating and strengthening the sports community with integrated features

"is your Claude wet or dry" "it's a limey" "very well, then"

zero good stories have been made without covering a protagonist in blood so you better dump that shit on them like they’re getting slimed at the nickelodeon awards
a bad tech take i have is that retro phones are kind of lame. hard to use for anything, and more of a novel assemblies of plastic than an actual computer. compared to basically any other retro tech (even old vr) they're not something i'd ever want. easy to see why the iphone obliterated everything
we making it to the md with this one
oh that's a good one for the . md
