This show really was a passion project for the studio. It was felt in every aspect of production: the animation, writing, THE SOUND DESIGN let alone soundtrack. I’m a grown ass adult crying over a fictional mermaid! #goodbyelara
#goodbyelara is a wonderful queer addition to one’s journey circumventing societal pressure and letting yourself grow along with chosen family. I’m left in awe. And don’t let anyone on this internet convince you the last ep needed to be anything else.

Last week, was listening to Dolly’s earlier ballads and finding myself homesick. Her voice, charm, wit… There will always be a deep admiration for her warmth and endearing spirit to share genuine artistry with others. 💐 to a real one.
genuinely if i had to put up with even a tenth of the horse shit people historically threw at dolly i would never have been as kind and generous a person as she was. she really makes you understand how brave and strong it is to be kind.

i am old enough to remember a time when dolly parton was very frequently the butt of people's unfunny jokes and if i could i'd hunt each and every one of them down to call them a fucking loser but i can't and more importantly, dolly wouldn't want me to.
