Truxton Extreme feels like some real ass gaming so far; I’ve only played the first stage but fundamentally this is working for me Truxton has always been a particularly wide-playfield vertical shmup so that plus a few smart design choices are making 16:9 vertizontal feel pretty normal

I still don’t know when corpo-approved American English switched from saying “welcome” to “welcome in” and I can’t begin to imagine an actual reason why which makes it kind of a fascinating piece of memetics to me, like there is no real difference but someone started “welcome in” and it caught on

the effective beauty of virtua fighter's controls is that between three buttons and eight directional inputs you can command any of literally hundreds of moves in the blink of an eye. meanwhile new games are starting to require you use the fourth row of buttons that your fingers can't reach

Tokon characters that are appealing to me the most so far: - Green Goblin - Danger - Iron Man - Black Panther Idk what my actual team comp of those four should look like yet and I also feel like Carnage has a really high chance of replacing someone but in general I am digging this game so far

Imagine. A coca-cola freestyle machine made of flesh. Stick your cup into its orifice. Get your whole arm in there. It’s lips clamp onto you as it spasms cold soda into your expectant cup. It gurgles and sighs as it releases you. Various tentacular tongues clean your mess. Long live the new coke.
