Health care isn't a political game. Pregnancy. Miscarriage. IVF. Birth control. Emergency care. These are deeply personal moments that deserve compassion—not political interference. ❤️ If you agree, share this post.
@repricklarsen.bsky.social (D-WA) held a roundtable for members of the reproductive medicine community, including ASRM’s Dr. Ginny Ryan, to discuss the importance of access to IVF and the role the bicameral Right to IVF Act will play in expanding access if passed.

48 years, 13 million babies, 1 Nobel Prize. Happy #WorldIVFDay! 🎉 IVF has transformed millions of lives worldwide & expanded the possibilities for parenthood. We are grateful to the clinicians, scientists, & advocates who have helped so many build the families they desire. Because #IVFDelivers. ❤️
🎉 Today, members of Congress introduced the #RightToIVFAct—a major step toward protecting the freedom to build a family. The bill would establish a nationwide right to receive IVF care and protect providers' ability to offer that care.
ASRM is proud to endorse the bicameral reintroduction of the Right to IVF Act ahead of World IVF Day this Saturday, July 25th. If passed, the act will expand access to affordable fertility care for all Americans.

Mifepristone is one of the most studied medications in the world, with a strong safety record. Efforts to restrict it are NOT about science, they are about taking away decisions from patients and providers.
Women comprise more than half the US population, yet for decades their health needs have been understudied and underserved. We need a #WomensHealthMoonshot. SWHR, @acog.org and Women First Research Coalition released a National Strategy to Close the Women’s Health Gap: swhr.org/nationalstrategy

Abortion Rights Still Under Threat
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, advocates are fighting for abortion protections at the state level.

It's been 4 years since the #Dobbs decision & abortion is still severely restricted across the US—with 13 states currently banning care entirely. Advocates & policymakers must champion a bold vision of access that goes beyond Roe, rooted in evidence & human rights to guarantee access for all.
Patients and providers deserve better than this. We're fighting for a future where everyone can access the care they need. 💜 And let's be clear: Roe was never enough. People were already facing barriers to abortion care long before Dobbs.
