So far this year we've had: the warmest winter on record in the mountain west, a record-shattering heat wave in Europe, once in a thousand year rainfall and flooding texas and forest fire smoke blanketing the mid west and the north east. Feels like something's going on with the climate!

Today, July 14th, is International Non Binary Peoples Day. Non Binary identities are diverse, and greatly misunderstood. Non Binary folks do not owe you androgenous presentation, and non binary identities are not "new". In fact, they long predate the colonial insistence of a gender binary.

The polar opposite reactions here to the deaths of Sam Neill and Lindsey Graham are such a reminder that we all have a choice whether to live our lives in a way that brings joy or misery to those around us. I think if youโ€™re remembered fondly as Sam Neill is today, youโ€™ve pretty much won at life.
