Recently reinstalled the Automate app. I know it has many incredible uses, but my favourite use is making social media harder to access. Sounds a bit counter intuitive, but it makes being present with the people around me much, much easier.

It's that time of year again. First real tree in over a decade, first one in a house I own with my wife. Tree is naked in the photo, but decorations (both on and off the tree) are planned for the upcoming week.

A naked Christmas tree stands in front of some ugly blinds left by the previous homeowners. Decorations will be forthcoming.

Simple Dungeon Generator is a tool you can use to make dungeon generation easier. Using either our template generator, or one you customize, you can create procedural dungeons in seconds. The tool works at run-time or can be used to generate prefabs to drop into other places in your projects.

Been working on the first iteration of a new asset I'll be publishing on the Unity Asset Store once it passes validation. For now, just a sneak peek at the theme of the asset:

The word Dungeon in all capital letters, brown in colour and cracked.

This week's Trijam 274 theme was Growth and Decay. Sneak peak of the general game mechanic with a link to follow tomorrow to a in-browser playable build.

Starting to do some short Game Jam submissions to mix things up in my spare time. Have had a rough couple of months and have not had the drive to push much else forwards.

Update on the Puzzle Game Prototype! I've completed the MVP of the prototype at this point. It is missing some features like Sound, and more robust story telling, but it has the base mechanics I set out to implement. Keep an eye out over the next day or two for a link to a playable version!

Three coloured potions sit on a table. The center potion is highlighted in yellow by the players cursor. The player looks into a stone / castle room lit in purple light, a purple forcefield on the right, a walled off hallway to the left and straight ahead. A pillar with impressed runes sits in center of the room. The player looks towards the purple forcefield. Their inventory is open, holding two runes they have picked up.

Needed somewhere for Runes to be placed in the puzzle game prototype. Sizing will be adjusted in Unity for a tighter fit. Learning more about Blender everyday!
