If your kids find out that all it would have taken for them to transition early was for you to have broken the rules, and they find out you didn't do that, they will never forgive you.

reminder to parents of trans children: breaking the rules to save your child years of suffering and possibly their life is your moral duty, get them on the correct hormones no matter what and don't bother with "doing things the right way"

I’ve done a pretty good job this week of cutting down on my debts, I got my tax return and used that to wipe a lot of it out Doing so is still making this week kinda rough even if it helps next pay cycle. So Molly and I would appreciate any help anyone can pass on www.paypal.com/paypalme/inf...

I know a lot of you have already heard or read about BDS Movement's call against Microsoft, and felt weird and bad about it all, but decided to move forward as normal because of some degree of ambiguity. "What service is Microsoft providing?" Here it is, clear as day. A direct line to death.

According to three Unit 8200 sources, the cloud-based storage platform has facilitated the preparation of deadly airstrikes and has shaped military operations in Gaza and the West Bank. Thanks to the control it exerts over Palestinian telecommunications infrastructure, Israel has long intercepted phone calls in the occupied territories. But the indiscriminate new system allows intelligence officers to play back the content of cellular calls made by Palestinians, capturing the conversations of a much larger pool of ordinary civilians.

Israel is using Microsoft Azure to store recordings of every phone call made by Palestinians in the occupied territories, then using AI to analyze the contents and select targets. Microsoft is (dubiously) claiming ignorance.

I'm pretty sympathetic to the strat of siloing off diy discussion to r/transdiy to limit the impact of a future reddit crackdown, but "black-market drugs"? "dangerous medications"? that's just straight up lying. diy is both safe and legal, and fear mongering about it is the only actual danger here.

If you like my little queer utopia OC world, then it's time to step up and protect the real life places that inspired it! Denny Blaine is a queer nude beach that is now under legal threat by its rich neighbors to be sanitized, and its queer history erased. Take the small minute to sign the petition!

Help to help keep a local (Seattle) Park open to being a nude beach. Some of the neighbors are trying to upend 50+ years of (nude bathing) history. To remind, nudity is legal in Seattle. A judge has (initially) sided to ban nudity while the case continues www.change.org/p/save-denny...

I had not heard of this! Reposting w alt text because it looks like screen readers can’t parse all of that correctly.

Picture of a historical marker. Text:WISCONSIN HISTORICAL SOCIETY THE BLACK NITE UPRISING Eight years before New York's Stonewall Riots, the Black Nite Uprising united a community, awakened local activism, and scored an early victory for the emerging LGBTQ rights movement in the United States. On August 5, 1961, four servicemen went on a homophobic dare to the Black Nite, a well known LGBTQ tavern (400 N. Plankinton Ave.) After losing a fight with Josie Carter (1941-2014) a black woman of trans experience, the men vowed to return and "clean up" the bar. "We do not run from a fight," Josie replied. "We do not run from anything." Josie's courage was a call to action. When the servicemen returned later that night, they faced over 70 customers who heroically defended their safe space from invasion, In 2021, the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project obtained official civic commemoration ensure the Uprising will never be forgotten. On this day in queer history: July 5, 1961 Queer Milwaukeeans fought back at the Black Nite Bar after being attacked by servicemen. Led by Black lesbian Josie Carter, this early act of resistance predates Stonewall by 8 years. Remember the Black Nite Brawl. #QueerHistory #Milwaukee #JosieCarter

“In almost every single case, the reason was anti-trans discrimination in the form of pressure to ‘detransition’ from one’s family, friends, or community.”

Hey, I really hate to beg but at this point I'm worried about still getting more utilities turned off even with a paycheck coming that will hopefully cover rent. Phone is still off and making the new job more complicated. IDK, if anyone has a few spare bucks it would be very appreciated right now.
