i was a trans minor once. nobody had to sign any paperwork at all before my own body started injecting me with testosterone. a coin flip did that! literally any reason any person of any age could ever have for wanting to transition is a better reason than "heads says you get this puberty sorry"

One of the best nonfiction books I've ever read is Paul de Kruif's Microbe Hunters. Because it was written in the 1920s, before antibiotics were invented, it captures a certain terrible awe and respect for disease that we have almost completely lost.
