in the distant past i was always irritated by digs at players’ physicality (Ozil for example), then Vieira came on and reminded me of those times. but it’s 2026 and football changed (so did i apparently), not sure even CAM can be this thin in an english club today. even Max looks firmier than him jc

i have no horse in this “fun for neutral” game and it still drives me nuts. individual brilliance of superstars is always good to witness obviously, but the good team play is way more important for me, yes i’m a nerd (a team sports tactics and teamwork enthusiast to be precise)

watching England highlights and wondering: have Rice ever took an outswinger in his career before yesterday’s game? i honestly would bet he hadn’t, which makes it even more impressive how fucking perfect they were i’m kinda ready to fight anyone who disagrees that he’s the best set piece taker ever

just learned that my friends, a Gooner couple, adopted a cat today and after seeing this post they decided to name him Gabriel. that was the quickest blessing i gave in my life

🚨 Since his penalty miss in the #UCL final, Arsenal supporters have made Gabriel the top-selling shirt name at the club. His printed name is up 350% since Saturday’s final. At one stage he was outselling any other name x2. @theathleticfc.bsky.social 🔴⚪️🇧🇷❤️ www.nytimes.com/athletic/732...

first day at work after CL final: all neutral / slight psg sympathising colleagues said basically the same to me – they started to cheer for Arsenal in the second half because referee was so obviously a cunt.

Gabriel’s shirt sales increase by 350% after missing penalty in Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat

Gabriel said the defeat as “painful” but also said he is “proud” of his Arsenal team and everything they had achieved during the season.

honestly im alright. cannot put into words the love that overfill me for every player and every Arsenal fan. maybe it’s ’cause im drunk but man i’m about to burst in tears because of love, not the result. this team & this community man. showing the world what’s it about, and will show again tomorrow

mission «do not think about the CL final until Friday» successfully accomplished 🫡 mission «make it through all the champions content until the final», on the other hand, is at the risk of failure, why didn’t I took week-off ffs

on the “it’s not done”-moment: everyone who said it’s performative or doesn’t matter even if it isn’t confessed in their incompetence / superficiality without realizing. we went into that game with doubts if Arsenal can do something against a good team, especially after cup final and Bournemouth…

The massive raft of injuries after that international break and then having to play a fresh and in-form Bournemouth somehow masked the fact that we had an exceptional final 11 games of the league season immediately after that Wolves draw and the big player meeting. Arteta told us it was beautiful.
