Your face is good. I am a Soos.
In fairness that’s actually surprisingly eloquent from the guys that usually can’t even say “Democratic Party” correctly
Republicans didn’t take long to get the open bigotry going
In the last 20-odd years only one right-wing Republican in a major race was subjected to the “we can’t let them win the primary, they’re simply not electable in the general” argument that a dozen left-wing Democrats face every year. That person was then elected president twice.
It's "Electability" season once again so let me just remind everybody possessing this incredible power of foresight to tell us something useful like November stock prices.
i know votes are still being counted but the more i look at this michigan senate map the more it becomes clear that it kind of looks like a mitten
My final hot take of the evening is the big winner is actually Pete Buttigeig because everyone will spend the next two years insisting McMorrow would have taken this in a landslide and therefore we have no choice but to make a bag of Wonder Bread the 2028 nominee
Anyone who says El-Sayed is "unelectable" because he won a primary against $50 million in AIPAC funding by only 3 points instead of 15 is doing you an incredible favor by letting you know you never need to listen to them like they are a serious person ever again
If Stevens actually ends up losing by only 2-3 the big takeaway from this will be she would have won if she didn't finish up the campaign reacting to the inaccurate polling with a week-long racist crashout
"it looks like you're using an adblocker to visit our site." yep! ha ha! it rocks!
El-Sayed is likely still winning but will definitely be by 4-5%, not the double digits a vast number of polls have said in the last week. That almost all election data is now bad polling and vibes-based degenerate gambling sites partnered with the very news networks reporting on it doesn't bode well
....and was literally found guilty of several of them?
TAPPER: Hold on -- hold on, 'cause I'm not done with the list of women who have accused you of violence. Are all three of them lying? REP. MAX MILLER: Yes. And I'm not getting out of the race because in 2016, President Donald J Trump faced the most extreme allegations in the world ...
I mean, yes, glad to hear it, kind of shitty to do the bare minimum literally seven hours before the polls close.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley has once again broken ranks with House Democratic leadership over endorsements, this time to support former Missouri Rep. Cori Bush. Pressley’s endorsement sets her squarely against the establishment wing of the party.
So we're clear here: Brad Lander, who is Jewish, defeated Daniel Goldman, who is also Jewish, by a 2-to-1 margin in a district where close to 40% of the electorate was Jewish. Fred Guttenberg declares this is antisemitism. It's okay to just openly acknowledge the man is deeply unwell.
pleased to announce that I've been hired by The New York Times. my job is to commission articles written by right-wing politicians, activists, and billionaires where they describe their activities in whatever way they see fit. it's nice because I don't have to edit or fact check anything
It's probably a far-too-online answer but my honest response to this is "only a year ago the right was jerking itself off over some bullshit study saying Republicans had far more diversity of ideas than Democrats and now they're apparently mad Democrats are changing that."
This is convincing. Every Dem is going to get asked about the shiny new thing (or old tweet) from a left-wing Dem candidate. I do think the incentives are different for someone running on same ballot as, say, Abdul (Hilary Scholten) and some candidate just being tied to the left (Cait Conley).

A very telling sign is even Harris, who has perhaps the worst political instincts in modern Dem Party history, has shown in recent statements she's aware that if party centrists whiff 2026 because they're mad at the left, it's not the left who's going to be blamed in 2028.
The fact that you still live in the fantasy world where it was "the lefts" fault Harris lost is part of the problem. Your inability to accept the reality that she ran a dogshit campaign and stood for basically nothing beyond "more of the same" when Biden was at his least popular is a bigger issue.
Democrats are honestly incredibly lucky that Musk is too much of an egomaniac to realize how much of a negative effect he has on localized elections. Collins' problem in this race is not a lack of funding.

Jokes aside that’s what makes the Times so embarassing for publishing this: they’re just, like, pretending CBS doesn’t exist, I guess? Ellison’s argument is “see what I did to another news network instantly after acquiring it? I will definitely not do that. That thing I factually, observably did.”
Shameful: The #BrokenTimes hands David Ellison op-ed space rather than challenging his bullshit pap and propaganda about journalism with the receipts he has already delivered at CBS. That would be journalism. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/o...
My “I will not destroy CNN” essay is raising a lot of questions I feel are already answered by my essay
Not so much you as the incompetent university founder who's already torched CBS News
a lot of the responses and quotes here are misunderstanding the purpose of Bluesky, it's not a public utility and the CEO doesn't care about you
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
God damn it really is all you have to do is threaten Senators’ vacation plans huh
John Cornyn & Thom Tillis issue a joint statement announcing they will support Todd Blanche for AG. He's now in good position to clear the Judiciary Committee tomorrow and head to the full Senate.
I wish the Max Miller story was less framed as “look at how Republicans are hypocrites” and more “once again powerful people clearly knew of a horrific level of abuse being performed to somebody and obviously chose not to care about until it became a political liability.”
I can't believe it's only one more day until they announce Mitch McConnell has been dead for a month
The funniest thing about TTG is there are still fans complaining about it existing or comparing it to a different version they liked better and it's like guys, 400 episodes. You're the dude in the forest pretending Japan didn't lose the war at this point
my 5 year old has gotten really into watching TEEN TITANS GO and... there are somehow 450 episodes of this show?
If they can acknowledge it’s fascism so can the media
just said this on another post but it bears repeating: the thing about continuing to give money to any jk rowling properties or the nyt is not that they’re shitty about trans people, which they are. it is that both of these entities MATERIALLY CONTRIBUTE to the legal challenges to trans rights
Florida is demanding Catholic schools honor a religious vaccine exemption the Catholic Church says doesn’t exist, threatening to pull funding from Catholic schools the state shouldn’t be funding anyway. This is the putting a humidifier next to a dehumidifier of right wing stupidity.
NEW: Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, facing ethics inquiries for misconduct, has threatened to strip state scholarships from Catholic schools unless the Church rewrites its vaccine doctrine. It is an unprecedented attack by an American state on the religious liberty of the Catholic Church.
A genuinely irredeemable act on the part of Amnesty, in that in addition to permanently shattering any sense of safety or reliability oppressed groups might have found from them in the face of adversity, it also yielded them nothing because Rowling intends to continue suing them anyway.
Amnesty International correctly called out Rowling's transphobia. She threatened them in response. And @amnesty.org surrendered. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
