Take the time to source an artist, perhaps one who might be starting out and have lower rates, you will have a better experience and a better product.
Even if you're cool with using a platform that takes advantage of people (often in developing countries) and damages the industry with unsustainably low rates, you run the risk of being scammed or ending up with AI art that will get negative attention from the public and this negatively impact sales
Polite reminder that Fiverr is not a good option if you want to hire an artist, from both a business and ethical standpoint. Particularly because it is now rife with AI art. But that is not surprising when you are paying people below minimum wage.
Quick rule of thumb: Even if you tag me, I can't repost any positive review or post you make about my work if your post *also* slams another comic book creator or their work. Compliments aren't seesaws. You can raise someone up WITHOUT pushing someone else down. :)
