it occurs to me this morning that trans masc people are relatively commonplace in contemporary dance spaces, while trans women are exceedingly rare, and especially with my ungendered first name i could easily imagine someone thinking i’m transitioning the other way and am hoping for he/him 😂

i was just thinking yesterday about how after my own book was scraped for llm’s to approximate, i really have lost all motivation to write the third edition with all that new material i have worked on for a decade or more

my favourite dance person was an invited choreographer in rome earlier this year, and her hot take is: the government should subsidize $1 espresso (to stay only) at local neighbourhood shops that then are a hub where the entire community sees each other every morning and everyone has a better life

this may sound silly, but aside from considerable mental illness issues i didn’t go to any kind of art school and have barely ever publicly shared artistic stuff in person, so it’s still a HUGE deal to hear a room full of artists last night tell me my stuff is good, actually ☺️
