The populist right is showing their true colours. By refusing to show any solidarity with Denmark over Greenland, they're showing what their vision of a "Europe of sovereign nations" will actually look like - every nation is responsible for its own sovereignty. If you're weak, we won't help you.

At the same time, Russia is becoming more and more brutal in Ukraine. Europe is being squeezed from two sides—unfortunately for them, it's making us more and more European.

Nearly all payments pass through Visa or MasterCard. This makes us vulnerable to American sanctions if we are too critical of some people. Thanks to the EU's collective power, we are able to create our own digital payment system, the digital Euro, to not be vulnerable to the whims of oligarchs.

Trump publicly stated that Putin seriously wants peace The Russians have stated that the US and Russia are aligned. So yeah--this looks like a pantomime so far.

In 2026, the ECB will choose a new design for Euro banknotes. The plan is to move away from the abstract, imagined bridges, arches and towards depicting great figures from European history like da Vinci or Marie Skłodowska-Curie. The EU is becoming more culturally conscious.
Another national chapter officially founded - Ave Europa Netherlands is now legally established! 🇳🇱 With more national chapters on their way, our movement is growing fast. In May 2026, we will meet for our General Assembly and turn our shared vision of Europe into action 🎯🇪🇺 ave-europa.nl
