there's so much disrespect of romance writers and romance readers baked into the idea that AI-driven production of novels is 'better'. as if writing romance isn't skillful, hard and joyous work. as if romance readers aren't discerning, loyal and savvy.

Seriously guys, enjoy books however you like - ebook, print, or audio. It's all good with me. And I know I'm not alone in saying this. If anything, I'd the only time you're going to hear most authors say otherwise is if they're in the middle of a rights dispute with a scummy publisher.

When I had to teach myself to read through noise again I started with a rain video. Now I can read through a Safiya Nygaard video playing in the background. We did it bois. I am unshakable.

An unrelated to reading specificly goal for 2026 is to do less nothing. That's not saying to relax less, but to stop filling gaps with endless social media scrolls when something else of value could be done (LIKE reading). Its a hard goal. 😭
