Awkwardly Social

I don’t make the rules, but I do make reality TV. You’re welcome.

very tired of being told it is the responsibility of urban democratic voters never to risk possibly maybe by chance seeming less than respectful of rural red state life and then watching thousands in nebraska cheer on the president joking about a nuclear strike on me and millions of my neighbors

If this year's El Nino is anything like the 2004/2005 one, I need to get on Zoloft now. (I was working a really weird job where my desk was under a leak and no one cared to fix it so I would just sit weirdly so I wouldn't get leaked on, but still, it was a BAD TIME.)

I don’t usually wade into the comments on the New York Times, but am shocked to see Nikole Hannah Jones responding with grace to comments on her latest piece. I don’t know the NY school system, but as someone who battled through the LAUSD magnet system, I was fascinated by her choices.

I didn’t come from a paper plate household, probably because we had to personally take our trash to the dump or burn it and my mom was a hippie, so I’m fascinated by a creator who makes these great meals and eats them off paper plates.

Had to wake myself up from a nightmare of hiding one (full) body and two heads in my house full of very nosy people. (Tbh, the true nightmare was how many nosy people I lived with, not the bodies. The bodies had deserved the murder.)

My FYP gives me a lot of bench clearing fights and no doubt my favorite part is always how long it takes for the bullpen to trot over. Like, the fight has been going a full five minutes and they’re still skedaddling across the field.

I think they re-timed some of the clips in the previously on for House of the Dragon, after all the criticism of how dark it was. I feel like I could see detail where I couldn’t before, but maybe I’m misremembering because it’s been 40 years since last season.
