a thing i could have done manually, but painful enough that i wouldn't have; all translated strings in context, methods to quickly exercise those translations, repeatable test with screengrab per item per language, cropped, contact sheet overview, callout where a vision scan noticed problems
my bet: whether readers or writers, general skill at detecting ai generated prose will remain very poor. extensive experience using ai will be the factor correlated with success.

something i'm learning is that many believe that a manager isn't there to deliver software, that the engineers do it on their own and the manager is there to serve and develop the engineers and i just... you bought that?

Imagining the chinese room, except at any arbitrary scale at which you zoom in, there are little guys passing each other notes in a language they don't understand. That's closer to the brain, I think the scale-invariant full-of-little-guys-ness is important
