What does “being a mathematician” mean to you? Marjorie Rice was in her 50s when she discovered 4 of the 15 pentagonal tilings and is forever described as an “amateur mathematician” It’s never to late to be a maths nerd - let’s both take that advice :) (Ayliean age 34)

The pattern in the satsuma sacks have changed! How come?! It looks like it takes up more string. They’re definitely stronger and more difficult to get into. Was there an issue before with satsumas making a break for freedom?

Small Rhombicosidodecahedron if u even care. I know it can be made with a single (incredibly long) modelling balloon because every vertex only has four lines coming from it, so it has an ✨Eulerian path✨
Ayliean@ayliean.bsky.social · 5mo agoNot sure what phase of my life I’m in, but here’s that modelling balloon icosidodecahedron nobody asked for! In theory it could be made out of a single modelling balloon, although in reality they don’t make balloons long enough :(
