In the Japanese version of Deltarune, Seth's name is モリス (Morris), which is the same name of the Illusion of Gaia character in Japanese as well.
Similar to Disney only using Mickey as a mascot, refusing to grow his character to evade risk of looking like a negative figure. They don’t want kids playing the game and going en masse, “I don’t like that Pokemon, he was mean” and potentially tanking its marketability

Whenever one of my projects get animated in the distant future, I will hold myself to this: If you hear a train horn mixed within the sfx of a fight, prepare to bear witness to the NASTIEST hit you’ve ever seen.

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
