i started playing lufia ii the other day… what a charming game! the puzzles and stuff are great, but like… i even like the writing! it’s pithy and zips along, and yet like, idk, the tia stuff at the start is cute and bittersweet and honestly really tugs at my heartstrings…

i'm trying to make myself play blue archive for obvious reasons. but the autobattle chibis thing gives me such malaise… i've mostly played genshin, zzz, nikke… i'm ok with a degree of gacha bullshit, but i gotta be able to move around and press buttons. idle games let too much of The Dread creep in

OHHH LMFAO... i dug around and just figured out what's going on with abyssdia. it used to be a "web3" rpg called stella fantasy, with nfts and stuff lol… they just took all that stuff out, made a few changes, and essentially rebranded it.
ugh, i love her so much lol… i clicked the date button and it took me a sec to register that the very first thing she says to you, on the first date, is about decorating the house you’ll live in together when you get married. i feel like she’s probably going to kill me and that’s awesome.

ugh granted i'm a sap and cry easy but act 1 episode 5 of abyssdia freaking getting me… wtf! i'm shocked how much i like the v.a. and writing… this side thing with ruby, she started accidentally trying to eat a plate—and it sounded like the seiyuu was actually gnawing on and clanking a plate irl…?!
oh, it's actually really easy to stream iphone games to obs on my laptop and overlay a pngtuber thing. i could do that basically whenever... hmmmmmmmm...!!!
weird how lucky i got with my therapist… most of it’s pretty casual, like a paid weekly vent session to an older sister figure. she did a big research paper about sex dolls in japan—like, she seems to just Get everything. she’s even encouraged me to spend time with candy when i’ve been avoiding her…
Man, the timelessness of Falcom's texture work during its Windows 98/XP days never fails to put me in my happy place. So clean and pristine, yet still full of character even at resolutions nobody realistically played these games at on release. Some of my favorite stuff of this vintage. 😌
re: prev: the handmade "global illumination" etc 🥰️ literally who needs realtime raytracing… vertex lighting, gouraud shading, blurry photo textures/matcaps etc—it's so beautifully honest to me. ofc it's all triangles and ramps and stuff in the end… kinda like seeing the brush strokes or something.
