This could have only worked in California. So many people move there because of the weather, or their work. Why would they fall for this? They either have other things occupying their attention spans, or they're the type who derisively sneer at "sportsball". Either way, they wouldn't know better.

This is one reason why the Calkins column, and the Canzano column, are so maddening. If you really want to write about transgender women playing sports, this story - bigots poisoning women's sports fandom with astroturfing - is an important story. Why not write about THAT?

My car's timing belt snapped while taking my partner home late Saturday night, and we towed the car to her place in Keizer so that she could get home. I don't have a way to record here, sorry. He was fired in 2022 after the Yates Report found failures in his handling of abuse involving former Thorns coach Paul Riley. Bay FC—who shares facilities with the Earthquakes—issued a statement denouncing the hiring.
Watson is a classic example of something we used to see all the time in the NFL, before the draft had its own salary cap: some guys stop trying once they get paid.
