I got somewhat lucky today, had another pair of glasses where the worst problem were the screws popped out of the frame, one missing. A local glasses shop was able to do an adjustment for free despite never buying a pair from there.

I am still available for character commissions for #RingRacers, #SRB2Kart or other sprite work needs! Its been a great year for comm work and incredibly grateful to those who trusted me with their requests!

ko-fi.com/bartman3010/... I'm available for art commissions of #RingRacers characters ($130+) as well as sprite art for anything else including single sprites ($25) and icons ($10)! Take a look at my Ko-fi page for more information!

A thing I think about a lot is how directly this stuff is descended from casino customer-tracking apps as they were emerging in the 90s. Addiction By Design covers this in a chapter - casinos harvest data on videoslot players and then measure exactly where their "Frustration point" is on losses.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

For no reason, here's Sunstorm Interactive's farewell to the Build engine hidden in their Redneck Rampage expansion Route 66. (Map 7 of episode 2) Right before they got into Deer Hunter and eventually Duke Manhattan Project.

"BYE BUILD (THANKS)" printed on a wall with a tombstone showing "1997" on it from the Route 66 expansion of Redneck Rampage.A tombstone showing "1997" with a wilted plant sitting next to it on it from the Route 66 expansion of Redneck Rampage.

Something I vaguely gestured at got even cooler. Still something very 'small.' Or at least it will be a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure when you'll be able to see it though... Or maybe you have seen it?

Richard B. Gray - LEVELORD 11/15/1957 - 10/12/2026 Just heard the news that an old friend of mine has passed on. Richard Gray - aka Levelord has departed the planet. I know he's dealt with cancer on and off for awhile now, a word that I cannot stand. Word comes from his wife Olga.

The fact that the CN leak happened to such a degree (325 gigs is *crazy*) is a glaring warning klaxon as to just how bad things are gonna be over there relatively soon. Truthfully, I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we get another equally similar dump in size to follow this one.
