every time I see complaints about the sea to sky corridor having awful traffic and constant accidents I become more and more radicalized towards establishing a passenger train route up the BC coast

Long-time resident Janice Brown says she's concerned about increased vehicle congestion in the region. “It's great for Britannia Beach, but the bottom line is that the traffic is terrible for everybody,” Brown said. She says she doesn't travel outside Squamish during the summer weekends to avoid being stuck in a highway shutdown. Serious collisions have closed Highway 99 in January, February, March and June this year. “We need an alternate route to Squamish and to the Sea-to-Sky corridor that people can come from and leave from,” Brown said.

I get _why_ positional audio is considered a killer feature but it's kind of a pity to have the same experience in a row with big walk and peak where it's like "the household wants to play it together on the couch while we hang out" and is basically told "don't do that, not the intended experience"

so @drac.at is having me play a heavily modded copy of fallout new vegas (which is basically the only fallout i've not put much time into) and the game went out of its way to make me feel at home in janky bethesda style by having the entire Primm ncr squad immediately run off in the wrong direction

Rebecca Heineman's source code disks for Apple II, Apple IIGS, and C64 versions of "Tass Times in Tonetown" were recently imaged at KansasFest 2026 and are now archived. Burger Becky was an incredible and beloved engineer and raconteur who we sadly lost last year. archive.org/details/tass...

Kamaitachi no Yoru is simply one of the most important Japanese games in history, period. In the historical trajectory of novel games, if Otogirisou, Chunsoft's previous gane, is Pac-Land, this is Super Mario Brothers. It is that foundational in the storytelling and design paradigms it codified.

I'm trembling while writing this: Kamaitachi no yoru—not the PC remake, not the iOS port, but the actual original SFC version—has been translated at last by ButThouMust, who graciously brought us an English patch for Otogirisou in the past. This is HISTORICAL.
