I've lost $22,748 per year in buying power since I was hired at @edsource.org in 2019. That's $1,900 per month to cut from my budget! I'm well past "don't eat so much avocado toast" territory and into "barely put any money in savings and watch your credit card balance creep up" territory. 1/3

Regardless of how it turns out NO HE DIDN’T. It’s like saying I have more fingers on my left hand after counting 8 digits from left to right with a ring finger and a pinky still to report.

MAX MILLER: She's 2.5 years old. She doesn't have the ability to articulate what you just said. TAPPER: But you just told me that she said she was scared to go to mommy's house. Now you're saying she's not capable of saying "Daddy kill you"? MILLER: What about due process?

See, this is my take on the most recent wave of "If you do that I'll leave!" People on the business side of Bluesky are free to try to attract whoever they want however they want as long as they don't change the architecture and fundamental structure, because as it stands I can ignore anyone.

I should be clear that the architecture of Bluesky makes it the social media place I most like to be. I'm not on social media to be an influencer or instigator; I want to hang out with folks and have an enjoyable time. This place delivers on that. I hope it continues to do so for a long time.

Bluesky oldheads will remember that brief period of time when the conservative trolls tried to storm the place and were flummoxed by the idea they would have to organically grow an audience and that someone who didn't want to talk to them could nuke every interaction they ever had from orbit

Bluesky is a "liberal bubble" because fascist chuds can't get traction without algorithmic assistance and because people here trained themselves to block "debate me" trybois the instant they roll up

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

Okay, I am going to tell a little story. It's one I have saved for the last couple years, almost nobody knows about it. But it lives in my heart. I don't know how others will feel about it, maybe something, maybe nothing. It's about the Uncanny X-Men. 1/

I wonder whether it would be possible to arrange an exhibition match for charity between the Golden State Valkyries and Santa Cruz Warriors. Sometime in October, after the WNBA season but before the G-League season. Settle once and for all whether borderline men could beat the best women.

Sabrina Ionescu went pretty much shot-for-shot in a three point contest with Steph Curry, the best shooter of all time. She could hold her own in either NBA.

What gets me about Cunningham is that the whole "we must protect women's sports" marketing strategy for anti-trans bigotry is based on the idea that all men are better at all sports than all women. So has Cunningham internalized misogyny so much that she thinks any man could beat her at basketball?
