Abdul El-Sayed’s win represents a big blow to the politics of bygone days. Because if one campaign can show that *that* much money and *that* much old guard support doesn’t guarantee victory, it cracks open what can be imagined. It widens the aperture of what’s possible.

Critiquing candidates does not bother me. In fact, appropriate criticism is necessary for accountability in our democracy. Dem promoters criticizing El Sayed have been almost exclusively petty and non-substantive, and it feels like there's Islamophobia and anti-progressive motivation behind those.
This is what happens when the same people who install corrupt presidents also own the majority of news sources.
MSNow just reporting that by *their* calculations there was $80 million in outside spending for Stevens. Abdul neither took nor was he supported by any corporate or dark money.
