If Sov AI is going to continue investing UK taxpayers' money in AI companies, it is imperative that it introduces simple due diligence into whether companies exploit creatives' work without permission. 9/10
AI makes teams with strong, human-led engineering practices do better, and teams with weak practices do much worse. If you want to build truly great software, you have to stop treating your people like replaceable machinery and start setting them up to succeed. 7/8

I'm back commuting into London for the first time in over six years. It's going to be a bit of a change.
Congratulations Spain. Poor game though. Took over 3 hours. Which is nearly as long as the Superbowl.
Chelsea would not be the football club it is today without Ken Bates, who has passed away at 94. www.nytimes.com/athletic/743...

We need more punditry from #Agassi. Listening to him on the #Wimbledon coverage, and he's fantastic.

Absolutely gutted for Iran. They've been so good to watch in the tournament. #WorldCup
This is fabulous. You cannot just push all responsibilities on consumers.
AI and Liability Earlier this month, a German court ruled that Google is liable for its AI search summaries. Rejecting defenses like "users can check for themselves," and that they generally know "that information generated with… https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2026/06/ai-and-liability.html

Musk says not a single person has died due to him axing USAID. Sadly, part of my job involves tracking aid spending. So here’s a thread with just some of the people who lost their lives because of USAID cuts
This made me laugh out loud so hard!
apparently there's a mod to remove gay marriage in skyrim like bro you're literally the only person who gets married at all in the game and if you need a mod to prevent yourself from getting gay married that says something about you
China’s courts now essentially prohibit making human employees redundant for an AI replacement: they reckon that what little productivity gain the AI may yield is not worth the damage to social cohesion. www.telegraph.co.uk/business/202...

#Chelsea lost the FA Cup Final, and now I'm at the emergency vet. Not a good day.
But well done to Labour leadership hopefuls for keeping this story off the front page, though.
BREAKING: Reform UK leader Nigel Farage bought a £1.4 million property in cash shortly after receiving a £5m personal gift from billionaire donor Christopher Harborne, according to property records seen by Sky News.
Hallelujah. The amount of times I've had to pull down the code and rebase because of a simple one file conflict is huge.
Nice, I haven't tried it yet but apparently github copilot in the cloud can now help with merge conflicts. That was my biggest frustration with trying to be productive from my phone on the go via the GitHub app. github.blog/changelog/20... #github #copilot
Man this is so true. I used to use a FOSS GitHub Action that was written in Node. I was getting warnings that GitHub was changing how you shared data between jobs. I thought I'd be helpful and raise a PR. To fix the issue I had to update one package, queue NPM errors galore.
