non-fans might say this would've been the right call but genuinely i think all this would've done is make things worse. SEGA already doesn't really seem too keen on doing new IPs very often, you think them killing off Sonic would actually make them more willing?

the degree to which SEGA makes things worse for everybody involved with Sonic is actually maddening

💥 Takashi Iizuka said that upper SEGA management wanted to cancel the Sonic series entirely. "During the worst times, I was told by the higher-ups that we should cancel the entire franchise. I had to fight within the organization to keep the franchise as long as possible." #SonicNews

nintendo youtuber "2D sonic good 3D sonic bad, sonic's annoying friends, remember when sonic kissed a human, bring back sally acorn" son vs twitter user "soul and ambition, 06 is actually an unsung masterpiece, sonic is as free as the wind, ian flynn is the anti-christ" daughter

The thing about trying not to pick a side is that the nazis *instantly recognize* which side you picked. They immediately identify you as an ally. They know exactly what side you're on. It doesn't fool the victims, it doesn't fool the Nazis, the only people it could possibly fool is centrists.

Unrelated, but this clip becoming so iconic means a lot of normies may not know the music used for it is actually recycled from a classic Looney Tunes short (“Wideo Wabbit”, to be specific).

This series is literally just old Looney Tunes shorts with the edge and art direction that make them entertaining removed. At least Tom & Jerry Gokko gave us entirely new material with the cat and mouse. Greg Ford and Terry Lennon warned us of what would happen if such a direction was followed.

The Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 3 DVD set offers the complete score for "Wideo Wabbit" as an alternate audio track for the short - so here is the complete, unobstructed music track. Use it to dub over Syncro-Vox Daffy or whatever; I don't care.

I wonder what caused those bug bites. Its a mystery.

I gotta hand it to Seth McFarlane, he predicted the whole idea of the coyote and road runner needing each other. (And to a lesser extent the same applies to Sylvester and Tweety.) I'm very happy we could get to see this movie, because it was worth seeing for sure! Loved it.

90% of my animation friends are unemployed. I'm on hiatus. The value of animation is proven every year. Greenlight new shows! Don't overdevelop. Don't chase trends. You can't chase trends w/ animation! It takes too long! Tell good stories. Take risks."Demon Hunters" was a risk & look how it paid off

Animation ruled streaming in 2025. Again. Nielsen data shows 'Bluey' repeated as the most-watched title across all genres, while 'KPop Demon Hunters' was the most-watched movie, and Seth MacFarlane won the inaugural Streaming Icon of the Year award. www.cartoonbrew.com/streaming/ni...

Big thanks to August's high-tier supporters! -- We're officially in the "back to school" time of year. Well, for most retailers, it begins in like...mid-July for some reason. But either way, get styled n' gear'd up with these choices for your school year!

Finally digitized some July stuff

Technically it was on Youtube but my earliest memory with anything by Adult Swim was watching the Robot Chicken sketch where Mario and Luigi visit Vice City. My school friends and I would quote it constantly. "He's-a marinating in his own ragu... You killed my brother! YOU SONS OF-A BITCHES!"

What was the first time you remember watching Adult Swim? I saw the first five seconds of the Vbros Season 1 finale before the season 2 premiere, before I got scared and turned off the tv, while at my grandparents house in Ohio of all places Haven't been back to Ohio since

Warm up sketches before work ⭐️🦑

To grasp how old SpongeBob is, when it began airing on Nickelodeon: - Every Nicktoon that came before still got regular reruns - Looney Tunes still played on the channel - Gullah Gullah Island and Little Bear were still part of Nick Jr. - The flagship program for Nick at Nite was The Brady Bunch

If a recent Pixar film is written/directed by a braintrust Boi it does have that angey peepaw vibe. Early Pixar films like Bugs Life/Monsters Inc are about changing old systems with new ideas. Newer films like Cars 3/Monsters Inc 2 are about how the system works fine respect your fucking elders.

Why was Toy Story 5 written as if the first movies didn't have electronic toys, video games (that the toys also played), and other technology? Like the FIRST movie released with video game adaptations! "ELECTRONICS STOPPED ALL TOY PLAYING!" It feels like it's written by an angry grandpa. 😹😅
