Legally, you can argue to avoid a driving ban if it would cause you exceptional hardship. Magistrates also tend not to like individuals who take the piss. Arguing that not being able to drive your car personally will stop you writing is taking the piss. /1

Here’s the article in full. She seems to be saying that she can’t have a driver (which I’m sure she could afford) as she would be “distracted by questions”. I’m sure they can accommodate a person’s need for silence.

Dear Andy, Idea to reduce the UK's deficit. Ensure Rod Liddle is buried and charge people to *insert appropriate bodily fluid* on his grave. £10 per fluid the whole lot for £50 (Women can have the whole lot for £40). I'd be in the queue wanking while necking water and eating mouldy bread.

That's a very good point. Of course his abdominal surgery could have been Endoscopic / Colonoscopic. Not technically lying if something was cut / removed / ablated but not really how he described it. A bit like the personal expenses claim because no MPs claim personal expenses.

Farage's claimed abdominal surgery just prior to the Widdicombe murder has been brought into question. Experts say he wouldn't have up for weeks, and certainly physically incapable of laying a wreath. Another pity project? Or something else? Medical issues would be great cover to quit Clacton.

This clicking fingers at slip scandal from Durham is the classic 2 differing views isn't it. 1.) What a disgrace, slip should get a life ban, keeper should be banned and the club a significant sanction. 2.) Might practice that this week to try on the twats we are playing at the weekend.
