Session 1 on agroecology as a social movement: Raquel Lujan-Soto presents #agroecology as an emerging concept but one at risk of greenwashing or co-opting. Scoping is important: we need to define what it is, and what it isn't, and avoid misinterpretation.

Can we agree on what #agroecology is and what it isn't? Yes! @bdumontae.bsky.social presents the outcomes of a Q-method assessment of 41 statements, based on 207 respondents. There is strong concensus on 4 topics such as biodiversity and ecological principles, and dissensus on 2 issues.

I ask IH members, what are your pleads for policymakers on #agroecology? Camille (Belgium): we need consistemcy, you can't say you want agroecology and not fund it or support it. Vyara (Bulgaria): agroecology is a priority on paper, not in reality. Make it real!
