Trump doesn’t force people to do bad things. All he did was show people they could get away with being horrible if they really wanted to, and a lot of powerful people decided they didn’t need to pretend anymore. Especially those in influential positions who could push back but did not.

It’s worth noting that when Jan. 6 happened, the pro-Trump right used dozens of conspiracy theories to try and offload blame from themselves—e.g., claiming it was “antifa,” “feds.” Now, they seem keen to just admit they did it—all of it—and it was good.

I’ve thought for a while that Trump would never spend a say in jail and would pardon his cronies on his way out the door. Now he’s got a pile of money he can dole out to prospective criminal partners to go along with an unconditional pardon. It’s like Tony Soprano with get out of jail free cards.

On *the same day* Trump bought between $15,000 and $50,000 of Thermo Fisher stock. The purchase was "UNSOLICITED," meaning it was requested by the customer, not recommended by an advisor.
Serious question: if Trump used public money to buy Spirit and rename it Trump Air 2.0, would the MAGA Congress object in meaningful numbers?
