Been reading Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Damn if this section doesn't feel like a sledgehammer to the face from 60 years ago. "America is the wealthiest nation on Earth, but its people are mainly poor, and poor Americans are urged to hate themselves."
