Biphasic Bees report: Awake 0330 - did try and get back off before but it wasn’t happening….. got up at 5 - took meds and had a drink. Wash on, prep for later crumble making. Checked some dates so I know what’s what. Pain still present. Nerve pain sucks particularly. Weary, not just tired.

I realise I’m screaming into the void here but …. My back is out just now and I’m in a lot of pain. Consequently have sprint several spells today laying on my bed. It’s still warm enough to want the windows open. My neighbours have been yapping and shouting outside in their front ALL afternoon.

It would be a terrible shame if this resource was lost for want of an archive - this stuff is still of major interest to policymakers today and is a crucial part of the social history that made the Britain of today (HT @municipaldreams.bsky.social )

Yes, Farage leaves his voters materially worse off. Also: don't underestimate how good the hate feels, how nourishing it is, how it makes financial loss feel worth it. That's what he offers his base, a chance to hate with purity. A huge selling point. We saw it with Trump and we see it with him.

Even for a bank holiday Monday today has been pretty rubbish.

Took my client to Wicken Fen this week and used my Merlin app @birdsoftheworld.bsky.social to listen at different points. This is about 1/3 of what we heard and was only one point on our little walk. We also heard other warblers, cuckoo, blackbirds. Cornell! I love it! 🐦 🦅 🦢🐦‍⬛🦉🪿🐧🐔🐤

I'm about to start working on the second edition of this, let me know who you think I should try to get in it...

Hot. Struggling to sleep between neuropathy pain and itching. Got up and: looked at my garden, split up some washing and ironing, put things away/in the rubbish/etc. Opened a window, refilled a bird feeder. Sometimes I have to touch my house. Hoping to snooze now so I can edit later….
