So this is an impressive high schooler paper that understands basic queuing theory results like Little's Law, but I'm mostly impressed at this being written by someone who wasn't even born when Rollercoaster Tycoon came out on PC.

She explored an area of #mathematics called "queueing theory" and wrote all about it in the context of Disney! #iTeachMath ♾️

I really enjoyed this history of queuing, particularly the bit where they got rid of loads of queues and didn't have anything for people to do when they weren't queuing... an illusion of freedom!

It's about a course I taught for many years called Tools of Inquiry, in which I try to teach students to ask and explore their own mathematical questions, including with technology. It's a little like an introduction to research experience at scale!
