It seems really clear that by 2028, we're going to have an empty SPR, substantial munitions shortages, greater strategic challenges, a larger national debt and substantially higher bond rates which will massively constrain future administrations.

The Trump regime forced Haitian Americans into undocumented status, and is now using that undocumented status as an excuse to force them to wear ankle monitors. It was never about following the law, but about banning Black and brown immigrants while advancing fascism & Christian nationalism.

Everyone knew the Reflecting Pool prosecution was trash, meant to serve Trump’s political needs of the moment. They knowingly filed charges against an innocent man. Accountability for that? It is to laugh. America needs a House and Senate that will serve to check and balance this administration.

The policy reversal here from having mechanisms in place to protect the welfare of vulnerable children to now using those to tip off ICE…is just cruel beyond measure. This bears way too much resemblance to the “Fugitive Slave Act” of 1850.

We find ourselves in a situation that is immensely dangerous. But the radicalization of the Right has not been fueled by a sense of strength. It is driven by a pervasive sense of weakness. Because reality has indeed been moving away from those who refuse to accept pluralism.

The government is taking stakes in private companies, launching Potemkin gas stations, giving no-bid contracts to party-aligned companies. The line between crony capitalism and the worst aspects of socialism sort of hard to see.

Republicans in Congress will send our children to war, and possibly die, for this country. To be fair, they’d send their own kids as well. But they are unwilling to risk their careers to stand up to Trump and for democratic government. Willing to sacrifice their children but not their careers.

The appropriate way to honor Lindsey Graham's memory would be for Lisa Murkowski, Thom Tillis, Susan Collins, Rand Paul, & 5 GOP Representatives to finally caucus with the Democrats to give them control of Congress & put an end to the lawless authoritarianism. Everything else is more free passes.
