I'm within striking distance of finishing the 1st draft of a script idea that's been haunting me for over a decade. I don't know if it's good or even if it can be made good, but I needed to write it to get it out of my head. Writers, have you ever done this and how did you feel about the outcome?

Whatever you do don’t take me to The Island from The Prisoner! I’d hate to live in a cool rent free apartment full of bold late 60s modern furniture haha noooo a bubble don’t chase me haha

Help me come up with a good title for a documentary about how high school and college goths and punks become hippies later in life.

Whenever people talk about the best horror remakes (or just best remakes) the ones that always come up are: John Carpenter's The Thing The Fly The Blob Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) What were we getting right for that roughly ten years that we can't seem to get right since?

I don't mean to be an old man shaking his fist, but I miss well-produced short-run investigative podcasts which seem to have all but been replaced by four guys in baseball hats and shorts sitting around a room with big mics in their face yakking for 4 hours. Isn't there room for both?

I don't mean to brag but I just did possibly the manliest thing I've done all week. I replaced the garbage disposal in my kitchen. If you're ever thinking about doing this, it's shockingly easy and required turning off & on a power breaker, TWO screwdrivers, and holding a 15lb thing for a minute.

I’ve had the Vonnegut compilation “Sucker’s Portfolio” sitting on my shelf for years. I just read the first story “Between Timid and Timbuktu” and…holy shit. The last line kinda slayed me (and also the main character of the story). Vonnegut was the best.

I don’t mean to brag, but I think my son and his contemporaries have aged out of Chuck E. Cheese birthday parties and now we can just go to a pool and fuck off like normal people.

To clarify something about me: I don't enjoy watching sports. No shade to those who do. I'm just trying understand why we're obsessed about certain sports only once in a while and almost never at any other time.
