I help small teams do big things and help big teams have big impact. And I build GoodJob, Day of the Shirt, Panlexicon, and Brompt too.

I finally cracked on GoodJob and implemented something I've been avoiding: patching Active Job to make *my* callback always run last. (this became necessary to make Concurrency rules be checked last last last after anything else that might modify the rules/conditions has run)

I saw Lexxy 1.0 was released. Anyone know if I can use it as a text/markdown editor without it rendering to HTML? I like the plugin system, I like consolidating libraries, but (for one project) I also can't have HTML/formatting.

Conference talks in the age of AI: Here's a list of 30 things on a topic to tell your agent to do. No details. And still it will run long. I don't hate it tbh. I like a good survey study, so long as it's good. SO LONG AS IT'S GOOD.

Alcatraz Open ✅ Every year my swim club hosts an open-to-the-public swim from Alcatraz. This morning: 550 swimmers, 300 volunteers. I helped launch boats and then kept the kitchen-chowder-coffee pipeline flowing.

550 swimmers at 630 in the morning in front of Ghirardelli square. Setting up a rowboat in the water with kayaks and support boats behind. Angelina and me smiling on the dock with dirt mason and the Golden Gate Bridge behind us.

Less than 30 days left to get your SF Ruby conference ticket. If you're local to the Bay, definitely please come! In addition to me being a speaker (💅), it should be a really nice experience at the SFJAZZ Center 📍 https://sfruby.com/
