I just released Insta, a new snapshot testing library for Ruby, live at RubyConf in Las Vegas! Extracted from Herb's test suite and inspired by @mitsuhiko.at's fantastic insta library for Rust. `gem "insta"`

I don't mind reading code written by agents, but I hate reading their PR descriptions. If I can't make myself read a PR description from Claude, I won't expect others to. Now when delivering PRs, I may not have written the code by hand, but I'll certainly write the description.
We love ruby events and we want to support their growth. These guides are a fantastic resource for new organizers and those looking for new ideas. Thank you to all the organizers who contributed, and @hansschnedlitz.com for putting these guides together. Welcome to the team, Hans!
RubyEvents Guides is now live. Over the last few months, I talked to Rubyists who want to help the community keep going. Some want to restart a local meetup. Some are organizing their first small conference. Some already run events and want to make the next one better.

Save the date, mark your calendars, and decline the invite to the All Hands meeting! The second edition of SF Ruby Conference is happening Nov 10-12. Our first confirmed keynote speaker is @realgarrytan.bsky.social, president and CEO of Y Combinator and longtime Rails builder.
Had a blast a #RubyConfAT 🙌 The combination of technical talks and classical music was unique 🎹 Lots of AI inspiration. @batsov.net's talk about Rubocop 2.0 reminded me how special our community is. I got to meet @marcoroth.dev in person and geek out about Herb and Ruby tooling. Very fulfilling ❤️
Kicking off #RubyConfAT with the amazing @hansschnedlitz.com and @marcoroth.dev! Exciting weekend ahead!

Friday May 8th in Rimini was magical. We spent months imagining Rubycon 2026. Then the day came, and it became real. This video tells that story. Thanks to everyone who was there. #Rubycon2026 #Ruby
Amazing to see that #rubycon2026 officially ended two days ago and people are still hanging out together on Discord and visiting Bologna and Venice. This is such a great attitude! (photos are from yesterday's tour of Rimini)
Really exciting to see Herb being adopted at GitHub! 🌿 Over the past months, the GitHub team has been running Herb across one of the largest Rails codebases out there where Herb helped uncover real issues missed by existing tooling while also providing invaluable feedback. 🙌
