Bike Maryland had a blast at our annual symposium in Annapolis last week! We were fortunate to host three guest speakers, have Peter and Josh give an overview of our legislative priorities (which can be found on our website), and have office hours with local delegates/senators to convey those priorities. At this year’s Symposium we had presentations such as the one by Chris Eatough, the Bike/Ped Coordinator from Howard County and also advocates met with their legislators and we awarded some of our legislators with an award for being our 2025 legislative champions, pictured is Delegate Dana Stein.

At this year’s Bike Maryland Symposium, we had leaders from MDOT in attendance. Joe McAndrew, Assistant Secretary for Project Development & Delivery provided opening remarks. It highlights the collaboration between MDOT and bicycling advocates working together to improve safety on our roads.
