Here for ttrpg enthusiasm + maybe pokemon and superheroes. My game Restore the Warp, has an ashcan on itch. Fight interstellar invaders and heal the god of the stars. https://billtherad.itch.io/
Hope everyone has fun at gencon. I haven't taken Restore the Warp to a convention yet, but next year I'd like to try the one in Vancouver (Terminal City).
Trying a solo playtest in Miro with the new sheets, and it was really fun! The flashbacks and new journey move worked really well.
I really wanted to like Supergirl. Loved the comic. But the movie didn't work for me. They replaced a memorable villain, with an incredibly generic and forgettable one. They made a lot of little changes that missed the themes that made the comic great.
One challenging thing my dog and son have in common is that they both try to eat all the toothpaste before I've finished brushing their teeth.
Some of my skeet threads would probably work better as blog posts. This was one of those.
I find the way different story games handle "stat blocks" interesting. What do GMs need? Let's look at some examples.

Lining up more play tests of Restore the Warp this summer, on the pbta discord and with Open Hearth. Excited to try new stuff! The ashcan has been evolving and solidifying towards the full game.
Speaking of #ttrpgs and #PsiRun2e, there's a @diceexploder.com episode in which @johnharper.bsky.social lays out why the Risk Sheet is so cool. I happen to agree! You can back Psi*Run 2e here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/117...

I'd been saving up the Perils & Princesses episodes of My First Dungeon, but I'm finally diving in. They're SO GOOD! The details about the candy curse are great. Love the initiative system. @brianflaherty.bsky.social does a great job running it, etc. Highly recommend.
At the end of each school year, I ask my students for feedback. Getting critiqued by 100 teenagers is roughly 6d6 psychic damage. It can haunt me for months. This year they rolled low! Most kids liked the classes.
I heard this pitched a while ago as God of War but Ninja Turtles, and yes please. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoB_...

The next draft of Restore the Warp is going well. Lots of cool changes. An exciting one is the replacement for "Tactical Kits," which provide some implied backstory. In general, I'm finding the game works better with specific flavorful prompts.

Skewed towards older, formative games, but it felt right. (Pokemon Sword was my pandemic game and thus the one I've spent the most time with. I bred shinies.) my9games.com
The anti-ICE bundle is still up for a couple weeks! Some of the games I'm excited to read: Justicar, Midnight Muscadines, Exquisite Biome, Girl Underground. That's just at a glance. There's so many! itch.io/b/3484/no-ic...

I re-write my space game basically from the ground up every six to eight months, when really the draft from August 2020 was already just fine. But like, it keeps getting better... and now I'm excited about new ideas again!
*Reposts appreciated” My webstore heycentaur.com is finally up! This took so many months of labour (mostly my partner’s), but it is all ready and running. Physical copies of Kala Mandala are now available, shipping to most of the world.

Another sweet, sweet bundle of #slugblaster stuff cooked up by the Wilkie's discord community. Gear! Monsters! Adventures! New settings! All sorts of tasty stuff. All the money goes to help teens. itch.io/b/3496/slugb...
Reviewing a draft of my space game from 2021, and I might have to steal some ideas from 5 years ago. I don't usually go backwards, but there's good stuff here! And I understand better where it could fit now.

Play test of Restore the Warp on the pbta discord went well this weekend! The new background gear kits did really well. Next change is gonna be playing with some moves to frame scenes. I've had one for "downtime" for a while, but think it's time to try one for "journeys" too. Maybe more!

Some rules guide play. And some rules monopolize it. Designing by omission.

Updating the G-sheets for Restore the Warp. Doing a play test next weekend with some changes to the ashcan! (The ashcan stays as is. But if this works well, it could be cool stuff for the full game.)
It's a pleasure to play in Jon's game, and a horror to actually think about the creatures in it.
