Supporter of foodbanks (although we shouldn't need them), education, and stronger action against the climate crisis.

Appalling - letting the very people who have run Thames Water into the ground & massively polluted the Thames Valley avoid future fines is (lost for words here) sickening. Every water company will want the same licence to pollute. Write to your MP to stop this now. weownit.org.uk/act-now/the-...

If you still believe that drilling in the North Sea will save us, read on. “A month’s worth of gas from 14 years of licensing by the last government shows the complete folly of pursuing this policy." Lunacy, and tons of our money in oil companies' pockets. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Hundreds of North Sea licences granted by Conservatives have ‘so far produced only 36 days worth of gas’

How to cut local government waste - stop your mayor pursuing a pie in the sky project. Common sense eh? But Andrea Jenkyns is spending mayoral time (ie rate payers' money) pursuing fracking - not only what a majority doesn't want, but which is not allowed anyway. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Yesterday, the largest far-right protest in UK history marched through London, led by racist Tommy Robinson. Today, we say: They don’t speak for us — and they won’t have the last word. This Wednesday we come together against Trump and for a better future. Do everything to be there.

Every man is like the company he keeps. - Latin proverb Nigel's choices of company to keep show a very clear (and heavily denied) pattern. Methinks he doth protest too much. And, of course, if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it IS a duck. Take a look.

A thoughtful and well researched report on why burning wood for power (and heat) is a poor choice. For instance, - if you think biomass is renewable, maybe you're right, but it takes 60-120 years for the emitted CO2 to be recaptured. In the meantime its an emitter. We can't afford that.

Burning wood for energy has long been touted as sustainable, but is it? Natalie Johnson, Research & Policy Officer at Global Action Plan plan presents the case that it's time for a rethink when it come to forest fuels. Follow the link for full article: www.globalactionplan.org.uk/news/wood-bu...
