Bird and Beach

Ryan likes to make art inspired by coastal landscapes. Elisabeth likes to draw birds. If you like birds, or beaches, maybe you should follow us in case you also like what we make. 😊 Located overlooking Te Awakairangi in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Decisions have been made… while the Greytown market is still happening today, the forecast has been getting progressively worse. Being in a gazebo when it’s raining for a spell is one thing, but when it’s persisting down for hours in winter with increasing wind speeds forecast… We’re staying home.

Kia ora, Just letting you know that Bird & Beach will be in Greytown on Saturday for the festival closing market. We'll be in one of the gazebos, so if you're coming to look for pretty lights, make sure you don't miss ours! (Note to self - get a new banner printed!)

Please don’t feed the birds. Two reasons: 1) things that might seem to be an excellent treat for birds can actually be really bad for them 2) now is not a good time to encourage them to congregate in ways they wouldn’t naturally In your garden: • plant natives as food sources ✅ • NO feeders 🚫

We are booked to be at the opening day gala for the Greytown Festival tomorrow, but that weather’s not looking very conducive… Have to pack the car this evening, will only find out just before we need to leave in the morning if it’s still going ahead. 💨 🌧️ 🥶

Autocorrect got the better of me, but you and I know that that second URL should be birdandbeach.co.nz, right? PS the last few Calendars are now only $10, we may be only a quarter of the way through the year, but you get about 65% off!

Packing up orders from thesewphist.com and bird and beach.co.nz. It’s nice to be settling into the new workroom and seeing how it functions to support me making and shopping our products.

A Bird and Beach New Zealand calendar, 3 Native Birds of Aotearoa wallets, 3 kiwiana walkers, and a weka getting card.

FYI today is a very special day! It’s the day when you can make a small business owner do a happy dance because you’re their first customer of the (financial) year. 💃🎉 If you’re a small business in Aotearoa, feel free to add a link to this thread too. The more first day sales the merrier!

Just popping up to remind you that you have a couple of hours left to nab yourself some coasters or tea towels at stocktake sale pricing - $10 per coaster, $36 for a mix and match set of native birds; or $25 for tea towels (normally $35, artisanal tea towels, stitched in-house). BirdandBeach.co.nz

Pssssssssst... Tomorrow is the end of the financial year. And there is still 3/4 of the calendar year left, so please, help me not have any calendars left to count by Wednesday? They're now only $10! Sweet little deals on tea towels and coasters too, just for tomorrow! birdandbeach.co.nz

Sorry we've gone really quiet... we're in the painting stage of the workroom renovation, so all our stock is packed away while Elisabeth finishes all the trims (some amazing friends came to help Ryan paint the walls to make sure Elisabeth didn't overdo it with her dodgy arm). It's coming together!
